IN HOME
CONSULTATION

 


One of our design consultants will visit your home to go over every part of the project from timing and logistics to styling and design. Measurements will be taken so that we can advise on hot water cylinder configuration, flooring insulation, fitting suitability, and even potential building code issues. This will help us lock down your investment and the timeline for completion.

DESIGN STAGE


 


The next step is for your consultant to design a detailed bathroom layout for you using our advanced 3D software. This will allow us to make the concept stages start to come to life in line with your expectations, including different colours, flooring options and tile designs.

SHOWROOM
APPOINTMENT

 


Your consultant will meet with you in our showroom to present the 3D layout and show you the products that have been selected to fit your bathroom plan. The full project plan will also be available, so you’ll be able to go over every aspect of the installation right down to the smallest detail before finalizing it. The bathroom will then be ordered and scheduled for installation.

HOW MUCH SHOULD
YOU INVEST?

A ‘Rule of Thumb’ for a typical bathroom renovation investment is 3-5% of the house value. This is a good guideline but with New Zealand’s rising property market and wide variances across the regions, the only real constant is the price of the bathroom itself. 

The price of the fittings and fixtures doesn’t vary much from region to region, while building materials and trade or labour costs don’t fluctuate considerably much either. So it really comes down to investing in a bathroom renovation project that suits the house from both a value and design perspective.  

 

AUCKLAND


An example would be an average Auckland house that’s valued at around $1,000,000. This would call for an investment range of $30,000 to $50,000 (3-5%).

WELLINGTON


The same home in Wellington might be valued at $500,000, so the same percentages would place the estimated investment range between $15,000 to $30,000. 


Use this 3-5% range (based on home value) as a guideline, and you won’t be over-capitalising, but will still be getting the best value for your money.


 

Small Bathroom $19 to $25k

Medium Bathroom $25k to $35k

Large Bathroom $35k plus

15 working days.

A FULLY TILED
BATHROOM RENOVATION 


From floor to ceiling, with custom made shower doors and a more complex layout can usually be done in around  21 working days.
